This weekly class will provide a fundamental framework for the practice of mindfulness. Meditation instructions will be offered, followed by a Q&A, and then a talk on a mindfulness-related topic. This is a great class for those new to the practice of Mindfulness.
The weekly Mindfulness Practice Session will begin with a period of guided mindfulness meditation or heart practice meditation (about 25 – 35 mins), leaving some time after for questions or comments around your meditation experience or the practice in general. Next, the group facilitator will offer a reflection on a topic related to Buddhist meditation (mindfulness or heart practice). Lastly, there will be some time for open discussion, allowing for questions, general comments, or personal reflections on the topic for the evening. No one is required to speak or participate during the group, however, all are welcome to share during the open discussion. There is no experience necessary for this class.
